    The one where she was still…

    It felt like time was moving at sloth’s speed. Her body was feeling what the English men and women so colourfully described as ‘general malaise’ which caused her to be mildly intolerant of anything. This included work except that she actually had to show up to work. Well. She would later discover that she did not HAVE to , she just chose to show up at work. She shelved that realization of choice for unboxing later.

    There she sat in her car in the driveway not having the slightest motivation to go into the house. She sat there watching the very grey skies that had quickly gathered dimming the natural light. Tiny droplets of rain started to fall on her car’s windshield when her friend called. She surrendered to this moment;flowing and not resisting what was. After speaking words of encouragement to each other she hung up the call and continued to watch the sky. She had always loved nature because in It she found God. This moment felt so powerful. In that moment she was still.

    The droplets were but few and soon after she started to notice the dark grey  clouds moving away, and slowly the rays of sun started to move past the clouds as one would draw curtains and with no fight the clouds obliged. The sun came out and warmed the earth again to the point of burning her forehead as she stepped out of her car. This moment reminded her how quickly things can change when she remained still and kept her eyes on her maker.

    It is written in the word of God, be still and I will fight for you, I will strengthen you and help you. God is not limited by time. It may look like it’s getting darker and maybe it is. Not only that but it might start pouring too! You may have thought that God would at least keep the sun shining and not let it grey but now not only did he let it grey but he let the rain start to pour too! You might have wondered where the one who watches over your coming and going was when it started to get thick. The truth of the matter is , he is and was still in it. The minute you call out to him he shows up.

    When we fix our eyes on the one who made the earth and everything and everyone in it things start to move. God shifts things so quickly because our eyes are on him. Fully trusting that he can get us through anything and being God can he fail?You trust him to carry you through it. He has never failed and he will not start with you. Fix your eyes on him and enter his rest.

    May Elohim remind you who you are and whose you are today. You are so precious, so dearly loved that there had to death so you could be saved! Put your head up. You are more than a conqueror!!

  • Nothing changes until you change your mind.

    Nothing changes until you change your mind.

    Now read that again. This is a phrase I have heard time and time again but for some reason this sank differently for me as I immersed myself in Dr. Myles Monroe’s teaching. I believe for me it was the realisation that we can do anything when we put our mind to it. It was and still is the fact that all things yes (ALL THINGS) are absolutely possible.

    If you feel some resistance to this statement in your inner self it is because you truly do not believe that all things are possible. You may have identified with the limiting belief that only some things are possible. I get that because I have been there not willingly or consciously but it served as layer of protection for flesh because the thought of being disappointed having believed was far too daunting. But what if it went well? Why is the first thought a negative thought? That things might not work? You see upon a deep dive on what could be the reason I learnt that the human body will always strive to survive and anything that threatens its survival will be met with great resistance. This is why surrendering to God may feel scary but in whose hands are our lives best placed other than the one who created us? It is written , and i paraphrase, that if we who are not perfect are able to give good gifts to our children how much more our father in heaven?

    We are from above. We are supernatural beings. We are spirits having a human experience. We often forget this fact and limit ourselves and God in the possibilities available. We were created to shine for the whole world to see, to be excellent and prosper. God actually said that his plan for us is to prosper us and not to harm us. So why do we hold back? I have learnt that part of this limitation is also caused by the distorted image we have of God. This bias is caused by the relationships around us. To be mindful i believe is to ask ourselves questions such as; is it really impossible? Did I try and fail? Or is it the fear that I may try and fail? How vulnerable that is! Or Did someone else tell me that it could not be done ? Did they try it and fail? Of course it calls for consciousness to get to the root of it all.

    See our minds love to work outside of now. This is because it feels it is the only thing it can control, that is, the past and the future but the now threatens it by death. You could hate stress yet your mind thrives on this negative energy because at least with this situation there is some kind of control. This is why we must remember we have authority over all things including the mind. We must take the dominion given to us and decide today to change our minds to be extraordinary and live the extraordinary lives that we were created to live.

    I have come to learn that life is quite interesting. We keep worrying or thinking about tomorrow or what happened in the past when the only thing we have is now. The Bible says “who among you by worrying can add time to their life” and Eckhart Tolle in his book “The Power of Now” explains this teaching further by saying that in every situation we have three choices; we can either change the situation by taking action, remove ourselves entirely from the situation or accept the situation and move on. Whatever the choice we must bear the consequences this way we will not face resistance from our inner selves.

    You may have never seen anyone do what you want to do or dreamt of doing who is to say you were not meant to be the first one to do it and act as the light and permission for someone else to be activated and know that they too can do the extraordinary. Do you realise we were sent to earth as messages? We are answers to different problems being faced in the world. Are we going to rob the world of these solutions? I know I will continue to seek God to ensure I complete the work he sent me to do. Our lives are bigger than just us and just paying bills then die . We carry an impact that needs to be released. I challenge you to find what problem you were created to solve. Therein lies your best life. Living on purpose and prospering in every area of your life. Success will locate you. Our lives are tied to other destinies and we cannot rob the world of the solutions we were sent to deliver. Remember to change your mind and go after what seems impossible. Be renewed by the transforming of your mind.
